Mendham, just west of Morristown, the county seat, consists of Mendham Borough, the town center, and Mendham Township, which mostly surrounds the Borough. Both have a New England feeling of pretty homes unspoiled by highly commercial establishments. A small well designed shopping center in the village makes food shopping convenient. In the Borough homes for sale tend to be on smaller lots where children can easily walk to school. In the township, the homes and lots tend to be larger with a rural feeling.

Easy access to Routes 287, 10 and 78 and several train stations nearby, make for a good commuter town to work locations in the east and even into NYC. Top schools, part of the West Morris Regional High School District (usually in the top 20 in the state) offer the prestigious IB (International Baccalaureate) program at the West Morris Mendham High School.  Whether you are looking for an older historic home or a lovely newer home, this town offers gracious country surburban living.
